Introduction to quality coating
Powder coating is like all painting in that a good finish is reliant on good preparation. This section shows the different stages of preparation. It will explain the importance of blasting the metal clean to produce better paint adhesion. It shows how the paint life expectancy is improved by using corrosion inhibitors and better quality powder coatings.
The graphic shows an example of a 200mm diameter post that arrived from the fabricator rusty. It was blasted to SA2.5 and our Tri-Resin™ Powder Coat was applied. Notice the smooth, thick lustre only achievable by a multiple coat system flattened between each application.
This is a 200mm diameter post. One of two hundred.
